March 18th, the Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia came early in the morning to the polling station at the Odintsovo campus of MGIMO University to cast his vote in the Presidential elections.
Upon his arrival, the Patriarch was greeted by the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov, the University’s Vice-Rector for General Affairs Artem Malgin, the Director of the Odintsovo campus Sergey Vasiliev and the Head of the Odintsovo district Andrey Ivanov.
Many well-known public figures and civil servants, including MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov who is also Chairman of the Moscow Region Civic Chamber, came to vote at this polling station. Approximately 150 volunteers from MGIMO-Odintsovo participated in the organization of the elections.
Students of the University also help to carry out elections in the framework of the initiative «What will be your city», developed by the Administration of the Odintsovo municipal district.
