The participants were welcomed by the Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights and Head of the Department of Corporate and Project Management at MGIMO Boris Titov, the Governor of the Moscow Region, also a member of the University’s Board of Trustees Andrey Vorobyov and MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov.
The speakers hashed out cases of successful implementation of economic reforms aimed at promoting economic growth, improving the wellbeing of the population and contributing to the development of regions.
High-level political figures and business representatives from a myriad of countries participated in the session including the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov, the former Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic (2014–2017) Jan Mladek, the Deputy Minister for Economic Development of Azerbaijan Rufat Mamedov, the Executive Director of the Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils Roberto dos Reis Alvarez, the Professor of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Gadjah Mada Mudrajad Kuncoro, the Head of the International Capital Markets Department of IMEMO at the Russian Academy of Sciences Yakov Mirkin, the Government and Public Services Leader of PwC Russia Kirill Nikitin, the Vice-President of the Vietnamese Academy of Social Sciences Thanh Dang Xuan and the Managing Director for Central Asia and Russia at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development N.Hanjenkova.
The participants mulled over the roadmap designed to promote sustainable economic growth in the non-resource sector of the Russian economy and discussed different economic reforms and their implementation in various countries. The session was moderated by the Head of the Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation, Vladislav Onishchenko.
