February 11th, the Ambassador of Israel to Russia Harry Koren came to MGIMO’s Odintsovo campus to deliver a lecture to students of the University.
Harry Koren first met with the leadership of the University, the Director of the Odintsovo campus Sergey Vasiliev, Deputy Directors Elena Kozlovskaya and Sergey Krivoshchapov, and the Dean of the School of Government and Politics Henry Sardaryan. The parties spoke about the prospects of developing bilateral cooperation in education.
The Ambassador then gave a talk to students on the impact economic matters can have on diplomatic relations. The guest described recent trends in the development of the Israeli economy, underlining the need for innovation and emphasizing the importance of trade with Russia. Harry Koren also gave a detailed account of the success and failures of different corporations in their quest for global success. After his speech, the Ambassador took questions from the audience about his country’s domestic and foreign policy.
